Wedge tells cloud that his ideals and morals are from a time before they had enlisted the help of other heroes to retake mako reactor 3 that they could have easily won if not for the support from sephiroth. once the player makes their way to midgar after beating chiron, they can open the doors in the four floors and uncover the optional dungeons and area. the dungeons revealed during the tutorial, as well as the optional subquest to save elise, are the only areas where the player will be able to take on optional dungeons.
